Samaria And Brave Warriors Lay The Position In Eritrea

The Brave Warriors interim coach Bobby Samaria says the stage is set and they will leave it all on the pitch in Wednesday at the National Stadium in Asmara when they take on host Eritrea in the 2022 Federation of International Football Federations (FIFA) World Cup qualifiers. “The players are in high spirit and eager to go out tomorrow to represent our Country to the best of their ability”. Samaria is also encouraged by the healthy competition in the team.

“Fighting for positions is extremely intense and with the quality Namibia possess we are spoiled for choices. All we need to do is to find the right balance with respect to the composition of the team.” The coach adds that “Eritrea is a closed book but ranking will not play a role tomorrow because it all depends on the form on the day.” Samaria reveals that Peter Shalulile will be the captain, deputised by Willy Stephanus.

The team only had two training session at the artificial turf of the National Stadium in Asmara, Eritrea and the match will take place today, 4 September 2019 at 4:00 pm (Local Time 8: 00 pm) with return match on 10 September 2019, Tuesday, at 19h00 at the Sam Nujoma Stadium.
