When are the 2020 Olympics?

The Tokyo Olympics kick off with Opening Ceremonies on July 24, and extend across more than two weeks, ending August 9.  The main events will be held in the capital, from two venues: The Heritage Zone, closer to the watersport and the newly developed Tokyo Bay Zone.

A total of 48 events will be held, one more than in 2016, with the addition of a mixed relay event. Schedule Track and field events will be held at the Olympic Stadium, while the race walk and marathon courses will cover both modern and traditional districts in Tokyo, starting and finishing at the Imperial Palace Garden and Olympic Stadium, respectively. Apart from the race walks and marathon, nine-track and field events will hold finals in the morning session to ensure that they receive maximum visibility for the sport across all time zones.

Qualification

Over 104 countries from all over the globe will take part in the 2020 Summer Olympics, Namibia (is No.68 on chronological order). The qualifying system for individual events is different from previous versions. Instead of being based on set qualifying standards, the new qualifying system primarily based on IAAF World Rankings and it provides an alternate pathway, that sets high exceptional performances.
