The French Open has finally come to a close and Rafael Nadal was victorious once again. Many people thought it would be difficult for him to due to the cooler conditions. However, the Spaniard proved all of them wrong as he won the event without dropping a set.

He got his 13th title in Paris and in the process, he equaled the record for the most Grand Slam titles. This was clearly an important win for him and that is why he broke down in tears during the presentation ceremony. Seeing this, compatriot and former World No. 2 Alex Corretja wrote,

“Your tears of emotion are what all of us feel when you win again! You are the best minded athlete I have ever met! Being able to comment on your professional exploits is an infinite privilege! “

What’s Next For Rafael Nadal?

All of Rafa’s fans are delighted that he was able to win at Roland Garros once again. However, many of them are going to be wondering – when is he going to play next? The Spaniard hasn’t revealed his plans yet but he will most likely play the Paris Masters and the ATP Finals.

These are scheduled to be played in November and these events will be important for the Spaniard as he has never won them. The reason for this is that he usually sustains many injuries towards the end of the year. So far, he has not had any physical problems as he has not played too many matches. This is great for him as he now has an amazing chance to win both events and we will have to wait and see if he does.
