Wydad Casablanca Sacked The Technical Team

Wydad Sack seven members of their technical staff with the head coach given two options to shift or resign
Wydad Casablanca have taken drastic measures following the heavy defeat the team suffered at the hands of Egyptian side Al-Ahly in the CAF champions league semi-final. Al-Ahly secured a berth in the final with a 5-1 aggregate victory over the Moroccans. 

The club's president, Saïd Naciri, decided to lay off seven members of the technical staff including assistant coach Moussa N'Daw and goalkeeper coach Said Badou. Local reports also reveal that the Moroccan giants are in search of a new coach to replace the Argentine Miguel Ángel Gamondi, who hasn't been delivering convincing performances.

Wydad ended this season trophyless after ceding the league title in the last round of fixtures to Raja Casablanca. Reports revealed that the club's management has presented Gamondi with two options; either to take up an an administrative position or leave the club. Wydad were involved in four different competitions this season but failed to win any. 

They were competing for the domestic league and cup in addition to the African Champions League and the Arabian championship. Wydad to commence negotiations with Regragui A source inside the club said that the heirarchy is set to start negotiations with Moroccan coach Walid Regragui, who was recently let go by Al-Duhail of Qatar. 

If the two parties reach an agreement the coach will be given the green light to select his new signings before the team starts their preparatory camp for the new season with the club preparing a clear-out of the current squad.
